bakelite toilet seat?

ran across a toilet seat that is probably from the 50's. its a Olsenite. i thought it might be bakelite? the plastic is pretty hard. i wonder if its worth restoring? the white has faded to a yellow and i think i could get it to come around if i know what i'm dealing with.

I wonder if you mean Olsonite...?

Personally, that is something where "restore" wouldn't be my first choice. It's more on the "replace" side of things to me.
