Argosy shower pan and liner

I have a small crack in a plastic shower pan in my Argosy 20 and some longer, fairly tight cracks in the upper side and head liner in my Minuet. I am going to take a stab at plastic welding but I need to know the type of plastic. Any engineer type know if this is ABS, PVC or ? I need to know because the rods are specific as to type.

Thanks

Greg

I would call the Argosy tech dept. and ask them. My Excella 31ft 1982 shower pan is vacuum formed ABS. It is disgracefully thin at the corners - in my opinion much too thin to plastic weld satisfactorily.

I have the same problem and I'm thinking of getting some sheet ABS, heat forming it into the corners, gluing with ABS cement and then faring it with filler and spray painting or rollering it. Of course, it requires prior cleaning, sanding etc and ditto at each stage.

Good Luck!

Norm
