Aqua Magic GL problems - Open blade/No water

Issues with the slide/blade mechanism + no water to the toilet (There is water up to the toilet). The blade/slider is halfway open and wont close.
Assuming water will be suspended while the blade/slide is open? What can be done to fix/make the blade mechanism function again?
Have used Silicon Spray on the blade - with no result.

Maybe the linkage attached to the foot pedal has come loose. I think the newer toilets have a two position foot pedal. The first half of the travel opens the water valve, and the second half opens the blade valve.

I'd check the linkage. And since I'm a senior citizen, I'd unbolt the toilet and take it to the shop so I could see what's going on.

Thnx David - Think the toilet is the original (1988 Aqua Magic) and has two pedals, slider/blade and the water. The slider pedal seems to be stuck in ca. middle position and can be pushed down - the other doesn´t move at all.

I now understand. Sounds like the same toilet I have in my 86 Limited. The blade valve pedal (larger) is linked to the water valve pedal. They both go down at once. The smaller pedal can be pushed down separately to refill the bowl. I have not had this toilet apart so I don't know how the linkage works.

Can you lift the blade valve pedal at all? I assume you have tried to wiggle the pedals up and down and side to side to see if they will free up.

David - took the old toilet out - cleaned (shitty work) and looked at the mechanism, all rusted and corroded. Ran over to neighor RV-shop to buy new blade mechanism. Ended up with new Aqua Magic V. Now just to make fit into the old hoe in the floor. Might have to turn the floor seatin or flange. Should be easy peacy. Whish me luck 😊

Toilet update. Finally got it to work - sitting in the old hole as the old one. Took me a slight modification to the screwholes and an extra trip back to the RV-dealer. Guess every now and then one happen to get a bad PEX connctor - this time it was me, water pouring out of the toilet inlet, not a happy campere here, with water all over the carpet, Grrrrrr!!!' Took the whole toilet with connector back to the shop and had them look at it. 2 mins and a new connector later I was set to go, no more water flowing out behind the toilet.
Tomorrow morning we are heading east to spend the week-end in Assateague Island Natl. Park - maiden voyage so to speak. Looking forward to it.
Have a great week-end everyone, wherever you are

These RV toilets aren't the most expensive items in the trailer, unless you opt for porcelain bowls. I had significant trouble with the plastic threads on the inlet "pipe" on my new toilet too. The standard toilet hose connector wasn't deep enough and wouldn't engage threads. Had to make a modification to get it to seal.

Enjoy your travels.
