Anyone Replaced Plastic Bath Sink with Stainless?

I would like to get rid of the crappy oval plastic sink in our1999 Safari. It is just over 10" X 13" inside rim to inside rim. Will one of the 10" X 13" Stainless sinks I see on the web fit? Has anyone done this? (well I'm actually sure a number have, whether or not they read or reply is another story LOL) If so any tips/tricks etc.? Any recommendations on a decent quality sink" . I"ll also be replacing the stock Moen faucet BTW whether or not I put in a new sink.

Thanks

We had the same or a similar crappy, plastic yellow sink in our '89 Excella 25'. I replaced the countertop as well as the sink. I believe the sink I got was by Opella. It was a 10" round bar sink model. As I recall the quality was good. We got the polished SS version but should've got the brushed style. It's easier to keep clean. The countertop was cut from a larger stock piece I got at Lowes or HD.

Dan, thanks for the input. After looking around, I think replacing the countertop is about the only way to fit any of the numerous stainless steel sinks I've looked at. Even if I enlarge the existing cutout, I haven't found one that fits within the space available.

I did put in a new faucet so that will help to spruce things up a bit ( FWIW: I also put in a new one in the kitchen). I don't really feel like putting in a new counter right now, perhaps in the future. The existing one is still in good shape and I have enough projects LOL (besides an "older" trailer I have an old house too).

My 98 Safari I replaced the counter and sink. Was able to make the counter a little bit closer to the front.
Hard to keep water in the sink though

I did wind up finding a sink that would work (with just having to enlarge the existing cut out a bit). It was a Kohler Bolero. I also used a Kohler drain that worked out perfectly with the existing plumbing. Along with that, I swapped out the original Moen faucet for a new Phister that had a spout that extended further into the sink (I was tired of hitting my hands on the back of the sink when using the old faucet). All in all, I am very happy with how it turned out.
