'73 Argosy 20 with a Groco toilet, HELP

Help once again.

Although I haven't torn into this yet, I am trying to brace myself for what is ahead when I complete the two projects I am on now. This toilet sits at the same level as the original black tank or where I assume it was between the shower and vanity. However there is no tank beneath it. It has a hand pump on the side that appears to draw water in and push wast out though a 1 1/2" flex hose. It moves horizontally toward the street side and into the vanity cabinet. So I am going to have to dis-assemble the vanity to see where it goes. My guess it was changed to acomodate constant use where there was a sewer pipe on site.

Underside the dump valves and plumbing look relatively newer so that adds to my notion of what happened.

I don't know if it is possible, but I may try to access all of this from the top by removal of toilet vanity and the floor. Then see if the geometry of the existing drain piping will allow me to reinstall a 10? gal black tank as original.

What am I missing?
