I would think as long as the surfaces of the pan were properly prepped you could use fiberglass to fix it. I would be willing to bet it was fiberglass originally anyhow. In the 60's models most of the bath was made from fiberglass.
Once you get it fixed you will want to paint it with an epoxy that will stand up to the use, and possibly put some type of grippers in for a non slip surface.
