34 excella 92 model shower/tub repair

We have couple of cracks along the edge of the seat of our shower/tub.
My question is:
1. Is it fiberglass ( I assume it is) but you know about aasuming something.
2. Is it repairable by using a fiberglass repair kit
3. Do I need to take it out to do so. I think it certainly would be easier it I did.
and finally
4. Is is easier to just buy a new one if I can an find one.

Did either of you, voxmaestro or chunk257 do anything with repairing your shower pan. I do not have any cracks but do have bad staining. Want to know what kind of paint will be durable enough to coat the pan.

I have repaired a few of these in my time and usually the cracks can fixed with kitty hair fiberglass its like a bondo product that is a two part mix and strong as nails. I clean out the cracks with a dremel and fill and sand when dry. The best think to paint with. is Rust-Oleum Bathtub Title Tub Tile Refinish. It can make your tub/ shower look like new again...

I had the ABS plastic CB shower pan and tried unsuccessfully to repair the plastic using technique ideas from the Internet regarding ABS repair after removing it for better access.

I finally bought the fiberglass replacement offered by Inland RV and installed it. It is made of much sturdier material. That is good but does represent some challenges getting the unit back in the same space, and caulking the rim once back in there.
