1981 Excella II shower valve

This shower control is on the tub faucet. To operate the shower you push it up. What I need to know is this repairable or replacable. It still works {kinda} but just wondering. Thanks. Sal.

I have an '80 excella and in the shower are Moen faucets which have a replaceable cartridge. If it is Moen you can take the handle off, pull the retainer clip, remove the cartridge, install a new cartridge(I recommend the 1225 plastic cartridge), and reinstall the handle. If the cartridge is stuck you may pull the center out of the cartridge but the cartridge can still be removed, just need a special cartridge puller which goes down the center of the old brass cartridge.
