1972 Thetford Aqua Magic 30

Does anyone have a manual for this toilet? Could you tell me how to remove the toilet from it's base? Some of the metal plates attached to the pedals are rusting and I'd like to remove them and refinish them. Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

This is from a '76 manual , but I think it's the same , it's for model 30.

1 cover floor area to protect from water damage
2 close valve on water inlet to toilet
3 remove water supply line from back of toilet
4 lift toilet seat ring and remove plastic plug to gain access to rear flange bolt
5 remove the rear flange bolt nut with a 12" extention
with a universal connecter and a 1/2" deep socket
6 remove front flange bolt nut by depressing both peddles on the slide valve and use a 1/2" box or open end wrench
7lift to remove

It's not too difficult , just tight spaces , good luck

Thank you very much for that! That makes perfect sense.

Cheers!
