1965 Safari Bathroom Renovation - COMPLETED! :)

I have been working on renovating my safari over the last year and i wanted to share some pics of my bathroom renovation. this was a real head scratcher for me and i wasn't sure how i was going to repair everything. after reading thru lots of posts and getting ideas from my friends i figured out what would work for me.

this is the style bathroom that has the long bench with the toilet in the middle of it.

anyways, here is a link to my pics:

i hope this will help someone out there who will be facing the same thing that i was.

Love that skirt idea. We've been pulling hair out over what to use to replace the orange shag carpet that's original (and still in) the lower areas of our bathroom walls.

This is it!

Wow, just saw this thread what a great solution to the toilet in a bench problem. What type of aluminum did you use and please describe how you got the engine turning effect.

That is a great idea. Some former owner of ours hacked away at the "bench" to fit in a different toilet (instead of choosing one to fit). This may be the solution- I just have to get a little better with bondo/fiberglass.

Do you feel like you have enough storage area for sewer fittings, various hoses and lines with the reduction of the rear compartment? I suppose most could fit in the bumper, as long as it was secure.

Will you be able to resist opening the back access door to grab someone's ankles when they're on the "throne"?

But seriously- thanks for the images- they are an inspiration for my project.
