1962 Safari tub removal

It's a real mystery to me how to remove the rear tub from my 62 Safari. I've gone back through all of the threads in the plumbing section with no success. I've removed the shower drain. The tub pulls away from the wall a little bit. The metal tub trim seems to be holding it in place. I don't want to ruin the trim. Do I remove the wall with the tub? Does anybody have info on a solution to this puzzle? Perplexed in my Safari...

Mines a '60 but I had to remove the trim to get the tub free. It was attached with tiny screws and sealant.

My trim is also attached with tiny bolts and nuts. Will the tub slide out of the trim (profile is a small "h")? I tried to slide it out but wouldn't budge. I'm going to try again with a little more persuasion. Or maybe I cut the thin bolts between the trim ring and wall...

I used medium force and a skin spoon (very slim pry bar aircraft tool). I really didn't want ti damage the tub.

1962 Airstream Safari tub removal

Got it! Looks like the tub rail/trim was riveted from behind the interior skin. Truckasaurus, I used your method. I used a thin crowbar and hammered down on the rivets between the rail/trim and interior skin, shearing them. I, still, cannot figure out in what sequence the tub was installed. It looks like the interior skin was installed first, then the tub and railing were riveted to the interior skin from behind?

Is hammering through the rivits the only way to remove the trim? I am trying to remove my tub and it feels like the tub and wall skin are attached to the wall framing. I cant see how they would have done that. When i removed the partition there were tiny screws and nuts that attached through the trim and possibly through the upper tub flange. Hope someone is still watching this thread.
