08 27'FB CDD Shower door latch replacement

Hey guys
Does anyone know if there is a replacement shower door latch better than the one that comes with the shower door? The plastic one that comes with it is a joke. I've already gone through 2 of them and unless there is an aftermarket latch I'm sure we'll always have problems with it. One wrong pull and the darn thing bends never to work properly again! Is there a metal alternative to the plastic one?

I've looked for a metal replacement but have been unable to find one.

The Mrs. Bent it with her inside the shower. Of course thats when I was out visiting at a rally. So when I finally got back she was a tad less than happy. Whether it was being locked or me doubled over with laughter I'm not sure.

If you do get locked in just unscrew the nob and you'll be free.
