That would be my guess, I would undo the clamp and see what is in there...

That is the water filter, can't remember what brand, and it may not be possible to get cartridges for it any more. It was usually used with a charcoal filter cartridge.

Primitive warp drive. Careful with the dilithium crystals.

Yup.....I've got one under the kitchen sink in my '67. I just took the disgusting filter out of it, threw it away, and use it without one. (couldn't find one to fit, and really don't need one anyway)
You have to remember about it when you winterize, though..........

Early water filter, I cut it out and sweat a new bypass pipe in it's place. Just another place for a leak to start.
Gone baby........

It's a hat to be used during meteor showers, volcanic eruptions and when your wife gets really mad at you. In the latter case, earplugs are must because of the clang when the frying pan whacks you.
To use, remove old pipes and throw them away. I don't know what they are for. Turn over and firmly push down over head. Or turn yourself over and seat heat in meteor protection device, then flip you and device over as you return to your feet. Now you are fully protected.

You can get an inline filter to go on the fresh water hose, and you can filter all the water for the trailer, not just the kitchen sink. You can get them from Camping World or other RV parts places, and last a year. They're pretty cheap, too, about $30.

Don't think I haven't thought of it, but it's too hot there.

The trick is to be a nocturnal animal for a week, and sleep it off during the day in a nice air conditioned Airstream! The fire effects are much more spectacular at night anyway.
My father-in-law went for the first time a couple of years ago, at the tender young age of 65, and he had a great time people-watching and taking pictures.
But of course, it's not for everyone.
Best to you,
Rich the Viking
