WH Sub vs Atwood
One good thing about it being too cold to work on "The Bat Cave Express" is time for obsessing over every detail. Yesterday it was to foam or not to foam. Today's detail was kicked off by the tankless waterheater thread.
I guess the ideal would be an electric / lpg/ electronic ignition WH. Still leaves two brands, Suburban and Atwood. The later model being more expensive. But now I see in another thread that you cann't adjust the temperature in the Electronic Ignition models. I like the idea of turning it off and on without going outside and not dealing with a pilot light. But how reliable is the electronic system on each brand. Someone's idea of using the electric and firing up the lpg for showers makes alot of sense. Are there any real quality differences between the brands. Neither seems available with a 2024 door so either way I'll have to fabricate that at some point.
I am leaning toward the Suburban ac/lpg/ ignition for price and features but what do I know, very little. Maybe I'll need 50 amp service or just turn off the electric if the AC is needed. Details, details, details.
Snow today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Seems like it's building up to something nasty.
