Water Pump replacement recommendations

Does anyone have a recommendation for a pump and motor other than the sureflo? Not that i have reservations about the pump but wondering if their are some better options. this pump is to be housed in a 1992 excella 29 ft.

I really like the new variable speed Shureflos. The AS had a flowjet in it as OEM and It failed after little use. Ive had my sureflo for 2 years and it has been flawless.

I replaced ours with a Sureflo WhisperKing, it's so quiet I wasn't sue it was working at first.
Very straight forward change.

What gallons per minute spec should be used? I see the Whisperking is 2 gal/min. Is that enough or should we look for 3 or 4 gal/min. Maybe the higher pressure models are noisier.
