Water pump not coming on

Dry camping Montana 2011 FC25. Plenty of water in tank. Raise faucet, no flow. Try other faucet as well, water flows. Next time, all faucets on, no flow. Cycle pump switch on wall, get flow. Then no flow no matter what I try. Don’t hear pump even try to run. New pump when I get home?

Sounds like an intermittent loose electrical connection IMO. Can you remove the pump switch panel and check the terminal connections on the back for the pump? Look right at the pump also, and check for loose wiring connections/crimped fittings. Could also be a loose connection at the 12-volt distribution panel where the circuit breakers are. [not the 120-volt panel] To be cautious maybe turn the battery Use/Store switch to Store, and disconnect from shore power, before checking any connections.

If no joy above, yes maybe the pump is going bad, or the pressure switch which may be a replaceable part?

Good luck,

Peter

PS -- Your battery voltage is OK?
PS2 -- Check your owner's manual literature for a manual for the pump. It should have a schematic of parts incl. possible pressure switch to be replaced.

Check at the pump location for a bad ground connection.

Hi

A multimeter is a very good thing to have when you run into something like this. Even a dirt cheap one will tell you a lot about what's going on.

The pressure demand switch may be intermittent. New pump.
