Water Pump Dead?

Does the water pump need priming after using a hook up for 5 months?

Pump runs and I see a few drips coming from tank intake elbow an drips form the outlet connection. I don't think it needs a complete vacuum to run? The only manual not in the manual folder is about the water pump.

Its a tangled mess of connections and pipes at inlet elbow. Having a blast taking off the bottom plastic cover underneath! Need lots of access.

Would like to fix the water pump at the same time. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Pondgrass

If the water tank is full, it is only lifting about a foot from the tank so it should readily self-prime. Let it run for a solid five minutes - I think it will eventually get going.
