Water Pump and switch

I am having problems with my water pump intermittently running at all. I suspect the switch on the control panel of my 1979 31' International may be the issue. Any idea where I can find another one?

try expressing the problem again, the op is vague.

1. is the pump SPONTANEOUSly running without opening a faucet?

or

2. is the pump running only PART of the time when a faucet is open?

these are 2 very different issues.

#1=leak somewhere typically...

#2=early pump failure for any of several different reasons.

or maybe the problem is something else?

a "switch failure" should be easy to verify using a multimeterlectrical gizmo on the wires.

cheers

faulty switch

My 1979 tradewind was doing the same thing. The switch at the main controller over the stove was not working all the time. I have a second power switch in the bath. That one works fine. The problem was the switch in the main unit over the stove. Call AS, they will give you the part number for a new switch. Then call a dealer with the part number you need and they will send you a new one. They are easy to install.
