Water pump '67 Caravel

Restoration begins. Filled the water tank and the only way I can get the pump to work is wire it directly to a 12v supply (battery charger) . Pump works and lots of leaks. Got most of the leaks squared away but still no water to the faucets, just sputtering and some air. Is this a pressure problem? I am going to pull off a few bottom panels to see if I can see anything wrong . I do have a few leaks near the hot water heater. The pump seems to pump with a decent amount of force, but why will it no go on using the switch near the sink?

Once I got the pump to run I found a number of lines disconnected. First near the pump, fixed it ,the regulator valve was stopped up so I put a cork in it , line was off in the closet nearest the toilet .

What next?
