Question Water Pump

We have an original PAR water pump in our 1964 GlobeTrotter. The 4 rubber vibration isolators have obviously gotten hard & cracked after 38 years.

Does anyone know of a source for suitable replacements? We have searched at all the local sources we can think of to no avail.

Attached is a picture of the part we are looking for, any help would be greatly appreciated.

It measures approximately 1-5/8" x 3/4" each leg & 3/4" diameter. The top & bottom look the same. It is attached to the pump with one leg and to the trailer through the other.

Rob & Shari;
Chances are by now you will probably end up fabricating new isolators, which really is not that hard, and you can do it with regular hand tools. Go to your nearest auto parts store and see if they have generic rubber suspension blocks. They are usually hockey-puck shaped. Purchase two or three, and using your old isolators as templates, trace with a fine tip marker around the old isolator on the rubber block, and trim to size with either a razor knife (carefully!!) or a bandsaw. Then, drill out the appropriate holes. The isolators need not be perfect, so long as they fit.
Half the fun of renovation is invention!
Good luck!

I think they found them at West Marine. At least they said they did in this longer thread below.

Now if they got them installed...How about it Rob or Shari, did they fit?

Yes Bobby et al, we got them installed. We think they worked fine....one will never know. We realized at the rally that the PAR pump had lost it's seal and would not maintain pressure...it would turn on & run, but not do it's job ~ pump water!

Oh well! After researching the options of rebuilding it, we realized a new Shurflo pump was a better alternative. The cost was just about a wash...Rob just installed it this last weekend, so now we are "good to go".

Water pump

If needed, parts are available to rebuild/repair the ShurFlo pump. I carry an extra pump as a spare if the main one quits.
