Water Heater on or off

I am permanently parked for 4 months. Should I leave the water heater on permanently OR turn it 0ff / on every other day? Thanks

I've been living in mine since June and leave the water heater on all the time. Does yours run on propne only, or is it propane and electric?

Yes. It runs on both, so to save propane I run it on electric.

It may be cheaper to swap it out for a new one. You can get a new one from Palomino RV for next to nothing. I recommend the propane/electric with direct spark ignition. It only takes a couple of hours to swap it with the old unit.

I forgot the link to Palomino:

Palomino RV - Manufacturer of Quaility RVs since 1968

Just give them a phone call and they'll ship you a new heater the same day.
