Water Heater door?
Anyone else notice that the water heater door on Airstreams doesn't match anything on the exterior of the trailer color wise? It's gray spray painted looking to me. Takes away form the overall nice look of the trailer.
Has anyone found a fix for this? A different paint that matches better?
Am I being too picky?

Picky? Not really.
Airstream sells stainless steel doors for the water heater and exterior shower. If you go to the Airstream website and look at the store you should be able to find one.

Wow! Now that's what I wanted. Why do we have to purchase these aftermarket from their store? $$$ They want more of my money?

...it makes you scratch your head to have all that beautiful aluminum and THEN cheap plastic covers or painted "metal" instead of stainless steel. While my Classic came with mostly stainless steel covers, I replaced the plastic 120V exterior outlet cover and the plastic cable TV inlet myself -- with stainless steel.

I must be el cheapo, and, though I did purchase the stainless stove vent, I spray painted my furnace and water heater doors. I found a silver that went well with the stream. $5

That's what I would do. Although I would call that "frugal"...... "Cheap" would use plywood, siding, cardboard...... Or nothing! 😀
