Question water filter bypass...?

Plumbing issue with my '71 Sovereign. I want to bypass the old and damaged Everpure water filter. If I were to connect the two copper pipes (inlet & outlet) does anyone know if this will present a water pressure increase that could do more damage? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, j. Graham

No problem, we done that in our 71 Trade Wind.

The filter only restricts the flow of water, it does not regulate the pressure.
With the filter, there is just a slight delay in equalization. Too small most certainly to be noticeable.

Just go ahead.
