Under sink water purification
Recently I purchased a 1968 Overlander International. It is ~95% original and everything appears to be in fair/good working order. Under the sink is a stainless steel canister for water purification. The label indicates that it is a model EN-1 distributed by Ewert & Ewert. A cursory survey of the internet reveals no hits for Ewert & Ewert or for an EN-1 type filter. It appears as though it was never used, or exceptionally well taken care of. I see no need in replacing this filter with a new modern filter, if of course I can still get the necessary filters. So that is my question, has anybody ever heard of this thing? And if so...where can I get replacement filters for it?

No...sorry, there was no filter in the canister. I have no idea what the correct filter is supposed to look like.

Thanks, I have already checked most of these sites, and nothing seems to match this particular brand of filter. it looks as though this particular company no longer exists. However, I would think that there would be somebody who makes a compatible filter

I just opened mine up on Friday to winterize (looks exactly like yours, label is gone, only the glue remains) and it had nothing inside either.
Promised myself to look into it next spring, but all there was inside was a bit of sand in the bottom...

'68 overlander international with the same filter and nothing in it as well... Maybe it never had a filter and it was just a sedimentation chamber?? Probably not but it's odd that we all nobody has found one with an old filter in it.
