Sovereign w/Atwood heater

I have a '76, 31' Soveriegn with an Atwood gas/electric water heater. Model # GC 10 A-2. My AS service manual indicates only LP and doesn't mention electric. Neither do the wiring diagrams indicate any power to the water heater. So.....does anyone know if this is original, a replacement, how old? Also, I'd really like to find an owner's or service manual for it in case I ever need to troubleshoot the thing. Thanks for any help.

I've never heard of a water heater that was both gas and electric. But then, it IS a big world, huh?

Aage, Turns out that gas/electric water heaters are very common. Apparently it's even possible to run both systems at once if you want quick hot water. When we move in, I'll try a month of gas and a month of electric to see which is cheapest.
