Sink Hand Pump Repair

I am restoring a 1948 Trailwind. I have the original hand pump sink faucet, but it does not draw water. Has any one pulled one apart an repaired it? In the alternative, does anyone know of a shop that perfoms this repair? I appreciate any and all advice. Many thanks, Gene Dallago

Many of the products and equiptment from the marine world were used in the RV world. Depending on the name and quality of the pump, parts may still be available. Use the yellow pages and make some inqueries as to price and availability. Some times a new pump is best..... Take the pump apart and see what is in there.......

Frank: Thanks for the advice. The pump has no manufacturer's info, so there's no recourse there. Unfortunately, I have been through the WestMarine general catalog and can not find any pump that looks similar. I do want to restore the trailer as closely to original a possible, so I would like to fix this pump. The handle swings too freely, not like it is moving a pump diaphragm up and down. I was hoping there might be an RV service center that works on this type of equipment. Thanks, Gene

Any way you could post a picture. I have a catalog that lists about a dozen galley hand pumps. Maybe we can find a manufacturer or at least a close fit .
