Shur-Flow Won't Quit

Hello all,


My water pump has developed the nasty habit of not turning off. It is a shur-flow, and has the same appearance as the new pumps I find pictures of here on the forums. The pressure switch seems to be mounted on the end of the pump, away from the motor. The pump works fine, with flow and pressure seem as normal, but the pump will not shut off after demand has ended. Any ideas?

Check that the filter mechanism just before the pump is tight and not allowing air to enter the line. We had that problem and it kept the pump running until I tightened the fitting.

The pump could be worn and is having a problem getting the pressure up to the cut off point. I replaced mine last year and it shuts off much quicker now.
