shore power and water pump question

Hi gang,

I was talking to my wife about a plumbing question that popped in my head earlier today. When hooked to shore power does the airstream still need the water pump to run when using hot water? In my head this doesn't make any sense since its the pressure from the hook up that will move the water through the system right?

I would just pop into my camper and test this theory but its at the shop having some things taken care of.

Any way, please help me answer my own question.

Hey d
Your water system is pressurised by either the city water hose or the 12 volt water pump, which is powered by the battery or the converter.

If you are only hooked to "shore power" and do not have City Water hooked up with a hose, then yes, you will have to run the water pump to get water from your freshwater tank.

If you have "full hookups" and are hooked to city water, then no, you will not need to run the water pump.

See ya on the road,
