Repost of Atwood door sealing

Does anyone know how to keep rain from getting inside the cover of an atwood water heater. Sealing to keep water from behind the water heater is simple, but i don't see how you can keep water from getting inside the cover. Normally it looks like any rain water that would have gotten inside the cover may just drain out or evaporate. However, over time, mine has rusted holes in the case and rain will go through these holes into the trailer. thats NOT good.

Add a drip cap over the door, I did this, not the perfect solution but works well. I got the cap from InlandRV
