Unhappy Rattling pipes

I replaced a defective water pump with an Extreme series 4900. Pump has long slow cycle, and won't run my sink spray nozzle for more than a few seconds. Also on first usage, I have to run the shower to stop the rattling pipes from behind the shower when using the kitchen sink. Instructions say to make sure all the air is out of the system. How do I do this, and is this the problem?

Welcome to the forums!

Air in the pipes is normal and it will happen when you pressure to the system. You remove the air by opening the valves one at a time starting with the furthest away from the pump and working your way to the pump. You run each valve until the water comes out in an even flow.

In my trailer the order is:
Toilet
Bathroom sink (hot then cold)
Shower (hot then cold)
Kitchen sink (hot then cold)

As long as you keep pressure on the system, you should not have to do this again. It takes only a few minutes and very little water.

azflycasters reply got me checking again, and I realized I had forgotten the two drains which I normally use to winterize. i opened them, and heard the air leaving. System is much better now. I should have asked a year ago, instead of asking Airstream. Thanks.
