Looking at post #12 installation, does the pump have a built in filter or is there an external filter for the larger stuff in the water?

The "plan ahead for service" factory location for our water pump with built in filter that covers the area with water when opened is under two runs of duct work and wires at the bottom of the closet. We managed to get the air expansion tank in, but will contemplate the 1" rubber pad mentioned elsewhere to help with noise abatement.

There are always such great ideas to solve problems in this forum!

Hi, if you look at post number 11 you will see my external filter which connects to my fresh water PEX line from the tank.

How much noise do some of these pumps make?

Maybe I got lucky by accidentally getting one that won't wake the dead?

In our 2013 25FB International, the pump was just below the pillows on the bed, so if one or the other used the bathroom at night and flushed, the other was awakened by the growl noise only inches away from their ears. :roll eyes:

In our Classic, the water pump is down the hall beyond the shower under the closet floor, which resonates like a drum. I am hopeful a rubber pad will help reduce the din to a bearable non-awakening level.

Yea I could see how right under the bed could be an issue no doubt.
