Question on Winterizing Water Pump

I have just finished draining the fresh Water Tank, as we will not be using it any more this season. I am wondering if the valves should be reversed from the position they are when we use the pump before I blow the lines? I have 2 valves between the Water Pump and the holding Tank. From what I understand I am then to unhook the inlet and outlet hoses from the Water Pump and let them drain. Not quite ready to do the full winterization, just wanted to go ahead and take care of the fresh water tank and pump. All input appreciated as this is my first go at Winterizing.

If you have water filter before pump take cart. off put adapt. on. I put tee in line before pump w/shut off valve then fitting w/hose then small funnel pour rv anti freeze in pump thru lines [first install water heater bypass] less than 1 gal. thru line pour some in drains do this after draining fresh water tank no need to blow lines etc. I have done this for years w/out freeze prob. Now i"m lazy don't winterize put in heated machine shed lock doors forget till next spring, forgot to mention drain water heater with valve installed installed by manf. If any doubts you may pm me w ph# I will walk thru process Bill [featherbedder] ps. I will do the same for any body else

Bill,

I really appreciate the helpful info. I was planning on just blowing the lines, but if possible could I put the RV antifreeze in the Water pump as a added precaution?
