pump not working

Hi there,
I just purchased a 2019 International, 28' and had it delivered. It was surprising to find that there is water in the fresh water tank. I wanted to empty the fresh water tank but when I push the water pump switch, nothing happens.

On other Airstreams I've had, when you press the button for the pump it makes a chugging sound and will pump any fresh water out of the tank.

What am I doing wrong/overlooking?

Thank you.
Amy

Need to have use/store switch in ‘use’ position, and open a faucet for starters.

Hi

Adding to the above:

There also is a fuse / breaker on the pump. It may be tripped / blown. If the trailer was just winterized, somebody may have bumped the wiring harness / hookup to the pump. Also on the "winterize" side of things, the battery may be disconnected ....

You may want to check the electrical connections to the pump. My pump would not run when we were camping at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. When I inspected the pump, the two wires going to the pump and connecting to the wires from the pump were very poor and sloppy spliced together and wrapped by electrical tape.

I had to disconnect the wires, strip the insulation and re-connect using proper connectors. Obviously a very careless and lazy effort by someone at the factory. this was on a 2015 23FB.

it now works as it should.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I had a pump that worked one morning, and after a day of driving failed to work at all.

Upon inspection of the area where the pump was, I found the wire connection that had jostled loose. Plugged it back together and BINGO.

Hope your fix is as easy as that.
