Looking at pump filter and it is all black inside the clear housing. Noticed some black water coming out of faucet. How do you clean the pump filter? The clear plastic cover turns, but decided I would ask here before I break yet another thing! Thanks for any and all help. Jack

It's not really a filter, just a screen to keep big stuff from jamming the pump. If you have black water, you may have bigger issues with your fresh water tank.
Several ideas on sanitizing the fresh water tank in this thread.
But rinse out the black crud first. The fresh water drain is one of those three taps in the recessed area near your sink. Two of the taps are "low point" drains, the third is the fresh water tank. All three empty onto the ground.

Amazing what you can see with a flashlight. The filter is on the inlet side of the pump. There is a screw that holds the cover and "o" ring on to the filter. Removed screw, cleaned all the black stuff off the screen, cleaned up the cover itself, lubed o-ring and reinstalled. Think I need to treat and flush all tanks. Assume it has never been done. Thanks.
