Par/Jabsco Water Pump Belt?
Anyone know where to find replacement water pump belts for my Par/Jabsco water pump from my 1965 Overlander?
The pump still works great, but the belt is aging and I want a replacement or two on hand just in case..
Thanks fellow Forum'ers!

I just purchased a rebuild kit for my Jabsco-Par pump from Ess-Kay yards.
Try this link:
Ess-Kay Yards Ship's Store
When I took my pump apart to build it there was some cracked areas - I had to send back the pump and order a new Shurflo Whisper King pump.
Anyway I had good luck and quick shipping with the company noted in the link above.

A common problem with the cog belt is over-tightening. You should be able to depress the belt @ 1/4" halfway between the pulleys.

Speak up - I can't hear you over the water pump
FWIW, my original plan was rebuild my original PAR water pump. But since it was low on the priority list compared to what else my Overlander needed, there was time to research the issue.
Everyone agreed that the PAR pump does a fine job pumping water, "but they're kind of loud". Then one poster (I think it was Overlander64) mentioned that people noticed his Argosy at a rally, "I woke up everytime that guy went to the bathroom!"
I ended up get a FloJet VSD pump.

Once again. With Par style pumps you should use an ACCUMULATOR TANK to cut down wear and tear as well as noise.

There are rebuild kits available, that really overhauls the entire pump.
But if you do that, it will probably only last another 40 years.

Par parts
Depco pump has all parts for Par pumps. They even have breakdowns of the pump models on their website Depco Pump Company, use the search engine or call their marine sales department
