I installed a PrecisionTemp 550. Fits where the old 6 gallon Atwood was, with a tiny bit of trimming the top of the hole. Delivers hot water on demand, fairly easy on propane. The need 12 volt
power, but the old switch in our rig runs it just fine.
Wife loves the hot endless showers.
It was well worth it. Atwood has a licensed copy, but I don't think it includes freeze protection like the PrecisionTemp. Something to consider if you camp in cold weather like we do. We've been out in below freezing weather-just need to leave it turned on so it can protect itself.
