Can anyone tell me where i can get a new drain plug (petcock) for my water heater? The wings have rusted off and it is really hard to tighten up so it does not leak.

For a petcock, you can go to your local auto parts store. I think you really need a plastic knock-out plug, though.

Home Depot - I went by the day youy posted, they have them at my store and they were cheap. Look in the brass plumbing fitting area or by the home water heaters. Post a picture to be sure but this is a very common item.
