Unhappy Hot Water Heater pilot light will not stay on

My 1988 Atwood water heater seems to keep turning off it's pilot light.
Why is this happening?

I yesterday replaced the main burner because it so old and rusted.

Any help would be apreciated.

Thank you,

Patrick

Patrick,
Does the pilot light hit the thermocouple enough to keep the solenoid valve open and supplying the pilot with gas?

Start Simple

Patrick,
Before you dive into wiring, check that you have 120V to other outlets and also check your fuses and circuit breakers.
