Help identify water pump

Can anyone identify this water pump for me I would like to buy a rebuild kit for it.
The only numbers on it are 16148-0000 and someone has written on the bottom 68 Safari.

I have search long and hard for info on Peters & Russell, Par and Jabsco but can find nothing with the numbers 16148.

Your help is much appreciated.

What you have is a Par 4800 pump. I just checked with Inland Andy, and, if you can't find a repair kit, there is a new pump sitting on the shelf.

I have attached 2 catalog pages from Depco Pump Co in Clearwater FL. After you have a chance to look these over give them a call (1-800-446-1656)and they can help you ID exactly which one you have. This is a great pump, been around for 30-40 years. It is totally re-buildable. Depco has all the parts. Best of luck

My Jabco went bad also. I bought a Flotec for $70 from Campers World and it works much better (better flow and less noise) and it only took 15 minutes to install it. It takes less space and comes with adapters. Put in some flexible hose to and from the pump and it will be even quieter.

I bought a new pump from camping world also. I think they have one on sale for $49.00. It will pump 3.5 gallons per minute. That is all you need.
If you buy a new pump. screw it to a board that will fit in the area. and then screw the board into the flooring. You don't have much room to work with. I found it easier to screw the pump down before I put it under the sink. Then I took two screws that will cut through anything and screwd the half way into the board, placed the pump and finished screwing them in. Before I could not see what I was doing and I could not get pressure on my drill to get them to anchor, or could find the slots for the phillips. It is in and working great.

Acceptable Jabsco pumps are available for far less than $400.00, especially the model you quoted.
