Help-dewinterizing and no water off freshwater tank

Hi everyone. We had the AS winterized with anti freeze and are now dewinterizing. When hooked up to city water , I get good water flow through both hot and cold pipes and now running clear with no pink.

Next I filled the freshwater tank fully and tried to run toilet and bathroom sink. For a few mins water came through lightly but then after 1 minute, just air. I have run the water pump several times for 1 to 2 minutes on each and just keep hearing air coming through and get no water flow on both hot and cold.

Any idea what could be wrong? Do I just need to let the water pump run a lot longer? I was afraid of burning it out.....

Is this Normal?

This is my first time dewinterizing the AS.

We have an 08 23fb.

Thanks.

Sandy

I would disconnect from city water, turn the water pump on and let it run until it stops on it own and leave it on. Turn on a faucet. The pump should come back on as the water flows.

Ok. Tis turned out to be a very easy fix. The inlet from the freshwater was left disconnected by the guy who winterized it. Connected it and was good to go. The pimp was underneath the baseboard in the closet to the right of our refrigerator.

Posting solution in case someone else misses the obvious like I did.

Now on to testing out the hot water heater is working and pilot lit...

Looks like your Airstream was all pimped out.

The pump, on the other hand, is supposed to be able to run dry, so it's ok to wait. While summerizing, you can get air bubbles in the system and it takes a while to push them out.

Be careful with that hot water heater, ours only heats cold water, when it's hot it turns off.

We went to Ouray for 3 nights and were lazy and ate real well. We got to Cortez at the end of the month for 3 nights and will look around Canyons of the Ancients NM. More coming later. Not the big trips of last year, but we getting antsy to be on the road more.
