Filter issue...

Hey folks, glad to be part of the family! I am a new owner of a '71 Sovereign and I did a stupid thing. After a real cold winter I escaped with only one busted pipe,(that I know of...) and I was able to replace it only to find a bigger problem. The water purifiaction canister was full of water and froze to the point of bending the lip and collar bad enough so that it wont seal at all. When I turn the water on it spews out everywhere! Is it possible to bypass this? Or does anyone know where I would find a replacement? I really appreciate the feedback! Great site!
Thanks to all!

Same thing happened to me when the previous owners of my Airstream failed to winterize the unit. I went to Lowes and bought an RV type cartridge type filter and replaced the original. If I remember correctly it is a Culligan.

I noticed a few days ago, that the sink sprayer in mine had water in it. I am kind of crossing my fingers.

The dealer was suppose to have winterized the unit before it left, so I am hoping that I won't have any problems or I am really gonna be pissed.
