Question Everpure Water Filter?

I recently had my 1969 Overlander worked on by an RV repair shop. I was not getting any cold water out of the kitchen faucet. They discovered that the silver cannister under the kitchen sink was the cause. It was full of little pieces of black plastic. They did not know what this device was, but they cleaned it out and water started to flow. After getting the AS back, and doing some research I think I know what it is. It is an Everpure Water filter. I can't tell what model since the label is gone. It is about 6 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches in diameter. I have attached a picture.

My questions are:
1) Is this a water filter?
2) Is it supposed to have a filter cartridge inside it?
3) Where can I get a replacement for a 1969 rig?
4) What water does it filter?

Thanks.

Hi John. Your photo didn't come through but yes, the Everpure is a water purification device which attaches to your cold tap water line.
Replacement cartridges should be available. You might find the info you need on the EVERPURE website. They list a toll free number and email address if you want to contact them for help.
Best of luck.

International?

Reading up on my '67 Overlander International, I understand the addition of the water filter, and "a couple of other things" (which I've had no luck in finding out what they are) are what sets an Overlander International apart from a regular Overlander.

Would your trailer happen to be the International model?

Thanks,
Tom

The Everpure # is 150.

Some of the older Airstream dealers may carry it.

If not, we do.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Not sure why the pic didn't come through (it showed up on the preview). Anyway, I found the manual for the trailer and it says I have an Everpure EN-1. I think I also need to replace the gasket since it looks shot and apparently the repair shop (or someone) put a bunch of silicon caulk around the rim to prevent it from leaking.

I do have an International version of the Overlander.

Andy, I'm compiling a list of items that I need and will be calling Inland later. Hopefully the filter you carry is the right one for my AS. Thanks again.
