Our water pump pressure switch has given up acting normal and now needs a thump to work.
We have a 1972 31 foot
Sovereign with the PAR water pump and pressure switch. (I think original)
The last few times we were out we had to thump the pressure switch (red square box on the pump) to get the pump to turn on. I tried tightening the screws for the wires and that did not help.
Earlier in the season we had the water tank out and cleaned it good! During that process I found the cover for the switch. I never knew that it had a cover! But when the little square red plastic cover fell on me I knew just the place to look.
We never had trouble with the pressure switch before but did have some loose / broken wire issues a few years ago.
It got old FAST having to tap the switch every time we turned on the water for any thing.
The trailer is in storage now but I would like to know if I should just start buying parts now. or is there some trick lubrication spring tension fix that will work when we get it out again?
The search feature did not show many fixes.
