electric water heater replacement

I am restoring a 71 overlander. It has no hot water heater in it. Per the manual for its year and size, a 27 footer, it had a 10 gallon Bowen lp in it orginally. I want to replace it with an all electric one. I have removed all lp from the trailer,. I want to run all electric as efficiently as possible. I also want it to be 10 gallon. Can anyone recommend the right heater to get to replace with out a lot of revamping of trailer. Is there one like a suburban or Atwood that will fit in that hole without reconstruction an not using the gas. Press help. I am lost here.

Do you intend to use this travel trailer as a park model?

Either the suburban or Atwood dual fuel (electric/proapane) will work with the gas disconnected. You can check the dimensions and see what will fit.

I am being told by vintage trailer supply that I can use the gas heater and add a hot shot kit to it. This is what I plan to do. Can anyone tell me if the 10 gallon one will fit the 71 overlander 27 foot long trailer. Per the manual it originally had a 10 gallon Bowen model in it. Dont want to order until I am sure it fits.

Measurements are posted online. Check the area you want to put it and make sure it will fit.

Cheapest solution is a small conventional electric water heater:

Inexpensive and no venting required.
