Hi: We are planning to remove the old dead gas water heater and replace with an electric tankless model. We are very new at this and would appreciate any advice from someone who has done this before or has any expertise in this department. Zamelia Earhart
There is not enough electrical capacity in the 30 amp, 120 volt setup you have in your trailer to use a tankless electric water heater. You could use a small tank electric water heater, say about 5 or 6 gal like the original gas one, but not a tankless one.

Why? Like idroba said the electrical capacity is not even close to being enough to operate a tankless water heater. A tankless electric wh in a home is even marginal with 240 volts and a 200 amp panel box.
Your best and most economical solution is to replace the original 6 gallon gas water heater with a propane/electric 6 gallon water heater that you can operate on either propane or electric.
