Dinosaur DSI Igniter Board for Atwood Water Heater

I have just purchased a Dinosaur replacement igniter board for my Atwood water heater. My trailer is a 1989 32' Excella. The new board is almost identical to the old one except the old board has an extra single black wire. The wire is soldered to the old board and runs to the area of the igniter. Should this wire be used with the new board, if so where does it connect to the new board? The wire harness from the water heater plugs into the new board at the same location as the old board.
