anode rod

How often should we check our anode rod? Should it be pulled once a year or so? Any considerations when doing this?

Preventive maintenance is always the "key." The cleaner the water, the less junk. But, since we travel and really don't know the quality of fresh water that we will be getting, then pulling the anode once a year to "check it out" would certainly be in order.Andy
