Question Bambi Water Heater Fire

I have a 2005 16 ft Bambi. Last Thursday, while camping in the Steens Mountain of Oregon, I turned on my water heater and it caught fire. It knocked out my gas system and somehow involved the water system. In addition to the fire, I wound up with a flood on my floor. I checked in with the dealer when I returned yesterday. We found a loose connection on the gas line at the water heater. They have not determined what caused the flood yet. My trailer goes on for an assessment and estimate on the damage on the 21st. I am curious if anyone else has had a simnilar event with their Bambi.
Incidently, If you have never heard of Steens Mountain, research it on the internet. It is a super place to visit for viewing or photographing nature, including wild horses....Bob

Bob, I'd say the fire burned (melted) the plastic drain plug, or the pressure relief valve. There shouldn't be anything else outside to cause a flood.
I had a pilot light feed crack and catch fire in our Argosy, fortunately I had just lit it, and shut it down. The line was about $10 from the dealer, I hope you repair is similarly inexpensive.

YIKES! I hope no one was hurt and the damage wasn't extensive.

Thanks for the heads up, checking those connections just became part of our pre-trip check list.
