You registered and you didn't get a recall notice? This recall came out in November.
I just received another email from Atwood after asking if I could mail the unit to them in exchange for a repaired one.
"Since you have not installed this unit yet, you can take that to a service center to have them install. I cannot send a recall part to a retail customer these all need to be installed by a service center. It does not have to be an Atwood service center."
This is contrary to their statement posted on the web, but satisfactory to me. I don't want to drive over an hour to their nearest service center. I've emailed back to get confirmation the warranty won't be effected by a non Atwood service tech doing this work. If I have a non Atwood service tech do the work, do they reimburse them or do I pay for service? I'll post when I know.
