Atwood Bowen anode rod?

I've read that Atwood Bowen water heaters like the one I have in my 79 Argosy do not have an anode rod?

Is this true?

When I overhauled my Atwood I did not see anything resembling an anode rod.
I think they only exist on domestic hot water heaters -and only so they can warranty them for 5 years .The rod is gone the day after !

Thanks, Murray.

I didn't want to tear into mine looking for one. The Suburban water heater on my previous sob had an anode rod and it needed replacing about once a year.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Bowen's did not require an anode rod because they have and aluminum tank. Have not been able to verify this information but it may explain the lack of the anode.
